God Searched for You!

By February 10, 2018Inspiration
I shared a teaching with our Choose Life Now members a while back. And the truth God showed me is still bubbling up in my mind. It’s a truth that most Christians don’t seem to really embrace. And consequently, even we – as God’s children, His special people, His beloved – still feel bad about ourselves. We still have poor self-esteem and low self-worth. We find ourselves feeling unworthy and even unloved or not deserving of anything good. These clearly are deceptive tactics of the enemy! All lies!
Here is the truth! In Matthew 13, Jesus teaches about the kingdom of heaven. He says, “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.”
Do you see what Jesus’s words say about you? God was searching for you and considers you beautiful. He looked for a beautiful pearl and guess what? He found YOU. And then He sold all that He had – He gave His one and only Son – so that He could buy you!
He bought you for a great price because you are so valuable to Him. You are His treasure. You are His precious and beautiful gem!
I hope you will get this truth deeply embedded into your heart so that you believe it. So often we measure ourselves by the world’s standards. Either from what other people have said to us or by what we see in the media. But the truth is, our only measurement for our worth is God, the Creator who fashioned us. And He considers you so beautiful that He gave His one and only Son so He could have you as His child. Only believe!
Be blessed, beautiful pearl! You are precious and valuable.
Visitors and I love hearing your comments and thoughts. Please share by leaving a quick message below.

It has been a year now that my marriage has hit a rough road. Although we are much happier now and God has blessed us in so many wonderful ways, we still have little trials sometime that relate to what we had gone through a year ago. Paid the highest price

By helping others so they can see
      The power in His name

  • Debra Anderson-Terry says:

God Bless you Susan for your continued work in ministry. Your words are absolutely correct; in the sight of God, we have not truly allowed ourselves to receive the esteem and value that He places upon us. I too add my voice to yours and pray that we will allow our eyes to be opened and accept the vision that God has of us and refuse to lease rental space to our enemy whose only desire is to steal, kill and destroy. I’m am blessed to know that He came that I might have life and have it more abundantly. Thank you for this beautiful picture and may it continue to touch & enlighten many more hearts.

No truer words were spoken. People develop a strong sense of worthlessness thru reapeated acts of poor treatment by others, most especially in childhood if you are raised by someone who constantly berats you that you are ‘garbage’, ‘you’ll never amount to anything ‘, ‘ you are my worst mistake’…..coupled with sexual and physical abuse. All these things become embedded in your DNA and you have the makings of a very troubled young person and ultimately adult. Finding your way out of this mess can take decades. And yes, we assume God feels the same.

That’s what I needed to hear!!&right on time growing up &hearing words that weren’t motivating or encouraging & growing up without a Father&a mother that really wasn’t there mentally or didn’t know how to pray for over her children she had.a lot of emotional damage. Physically she wasn’t there either.being put down by other so-called family members can be quite damaging.&thinking God has passed you by or your not worth or it to be blessed with a soulmate or companion or something to happen good in your life. Or you weren’t seen upon to be blessed when you accepted Jesus.just a lot of disappointments & heartaches! But I guess I am a pearl in his eyes!

Hi Susan, I am in my last week of the Daniel Fasting, and I been going through a lot of things. But one of the things that I have been going through all my life is not feeling Beautiful. I have always looked in the mirror and never saw beautiful or pretty. I lost so much and at times felt like I lost God love too. I just want to Thank You for those beautiful words, Lord knows I needed them today, tomorrow, and yesterday. God Bless You Woman of God/Child of God.

  • Michelle Gilbert says:

That was such a blessing to read today because right now I am in a place where I don’t feel like I’m worthy of God’s Love. I am reassured today that I am!!

I ‘ve started my Daniels fast on the 6th of July 2016 and God is been so faithful to me since then..It was challenging at my first week but on the second week I felt so strong… I thank God for the strength and you Susan for the encourageous words that I received during my fast.God bless you.

  • Judi Willaims says:

I did a 10 day Daniel fast a while ago and felt great firstly for completing it and secondly because we ate some really awesome “Daniel” meals during it. It was part of a church wide fast.

Now I want to do it for me… With God’s help and ever since I decided that I have struggled. I seem to want to eat all the time, and not the healthiest of foods, I read this today and Know that this is how God feels about me. I am not so good about how I feel about me. I am determined to get underway, just need to take hold of my mind…….. Thank you for your encouragement. Judi

  • Patricia Ann says:

Thank you Lord for everything…but most of all, for loving me for me.

  • Trish says:

Your simple description of God’s love shows how faceted God’s love is like the many sides of a diamond. To think that we humans are more beautiful to God than a gem stone, animal, or a great scenic view and without measure is astounding to me at times. The more I grow in my relationship with God, the more humble I feel in my walk with Him. Thank you.

  • sue says:

    Hi Susan,
I’m a slow starter as I wanted to be truly prepared for this experience. I feel as if am reading Gods word but it’s not sinking into my soul enough. So I’m starting the fast on 1/2/16 an I pray for an excepeeience that will bring me closer to my Lord.

  • Betty says:

Yes, Betty, this is a powerful truth. God loves us so very much!

YOU are precious to Him. He is your Father. You belong to Him.

      That’s all beautiful!

      • Mrs Rhetta Franklin says:

        Hi Ms. Susan
You’re such an inspiration in a time of need. I’m married of 18 yrs. this month. Well some things has happened that have put our marriage at a high risk for a divorce, we are already living separated I’m in the home and he’s not!!! I fear he’s half , if not all the way gone sometimes. We have huge responsibilities besides having a son whose now 16. We both are devastated by his father’s moves and what he’s doing to destroy our home . It’s heartbreaking for me wondering what did I do so wrong. He doesn’t talk. Maybe God is speaking through you letting me know this could come from a disfucntional childhood wound he possibly come through. I ask myself why now! It’s such a critical moment for our child. I learned not long ago that his mom & dad divorced when he was only 15 how devastating I can only imagine it was for him to. They both have since remarried but this is not what I want to do. I am a pearl in God’ Eyes , striving to do better to please our Heavenly Father everyday. “If this is what God’ wants let me hear from him”. I lay awake each night he doesn’t come in this kinda lets me know that I still love my husband, I pray that things are Ok and he walks in and have a decent talk a real decent talk like adults do and get on the same page with each other. I love God’ I fear God’ Psalms 34:7 ,and I’m praying for the same for him. May the dear lord bless all your viewers and KEEP YOU GROWING IN CHRIST. Godly woman.

        • Susan Gregory says:

Oh, dear sister! I know your pain. I was heartbroken in my marriage that ended in a divorce I fought to prevent for so long. My son was around the same age. It’s so very hard.

One thing I know for sure and that is that we can’t change the other person. But we can pray that the Holy Spirit will work in their lives and that people, circumstances, and events will come into their lives to help them see the truth. The choice remains theirs.

What we can do is work on ourselves to be loving, forgiving, kind, and caring. All the traits we are called to have as children of God. Meanwhile, we have the Comforter to whom we can talk, cry, and seek companionship.

I am so sorry for all of you to be going through this very difficult time. You are in my prayers. Peace be with you.

          • Mrs Rhetta Franklin says:

Thank you . And may God our true Heavenly Father continue to see you through . I love the Lord , I’m praying this to shall come to pass. Amen.

  • Joanne M. Kranich says:

    Hi Susan,

About a month ago in my prayer time I told the Lord He was my pearl of great price….for me at 61 years of age , I struggle very much to think that I am His pearl of great price.
I am doing this Daniel Fast to help me accept my body image as well as for that Closer Walk—-in my twenties I dealt with anorexia—-I can say now that I do eat and eat healthily but the anorexic spirit is still a monkey on my back for lack of better words.
Thank you for what are you are doing and thanks be to God for this calling on your life!

    • Susan Gregory says:

My prayer is that you will receive the truth the Lord has for you and that this burden will be lifted from you.

You are precious and made just as He designed.

      Be blessed.

  • Mary Ann Rosser says:

Thanks so much for those encouraging words. I am trying very hard to have that truth ingrained in my heart, soul and spirit. I know that he made the ultimate sacrifice for me, but I must learn to remind

Thank you for reminding us. I recently read a beautiful book by Bruce Marchiano, A real eye opener about just how much God loves us. The thing is you can know it but not “KNOW” it. You have got to keep on reminding yourself all through the day. Clothe yourself in the knowledge and ask the Holy Spirit to keep on reminding you over and over again. Wear the belt of truth like a second skin. God loves you, He called you, He, the Creator of the universe knows your name and loves YOU. PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!
